Women in Privacy Meet-up

INTRODUCTION

The Women in Privacy Meet-up is a special event organized as part of the 5th Privacy Symposium Africa, which aims to create a platform for women working in the field of privacy to connect, share experiences, and discuss key issues affecting their work. The event will be held on the second day of the symposium and will bring together women from various sectors, including government, civil society, academia, and the private sector.

OBJECTIVES

The main objectives of the Women in Privacy Meet-up are:

a) To create a space for women working in privacy to connect and network with each other.

b) To provide an opportunity for women to share their experiences and challenges in the field of privacy.

c) To discuss key issues affecting women in privacy and explore ways to address them.

d) To promote the participation of women in privacy-related initiatives and events.

Key Activities:

The Women in Privacy Meet-up will include the following key activities:

Networking session: The event will begin with a networking session, where participants will have the opportunity to meet and connect with each other. This session will be facilitated to ensure that everyone has the chance to interact with others and make meaningful connections.

Panel discussion: A panel of women working in the field of privacy will be invited to share their experiences and insights on key issues affecting women in privacy.
