The Privacy Symposium Africa (PSA) is an event that focuses on discussions and presentations about privacy and related issues in the African context. Established in 2019 by Unwanted Witness, the Privacy Symposium Africa brings together privacy experts, policymakers, business leaders, and individuals from across the continent to discuss the latest developments and challenges in the field of privacy and data protection.
Since establishment, the PSA has offered innovative propositions in legal, regulatory, academic, policy and technological development in the area of Privacy and Data Protection. The platform gathers Business community, ICT experts, academics, lawyers, regulators, policy-makers, and civil society for three days of inspiring keynote addresses, thought-provoking panels, master classes and limitless high-value networking.

The th Privacy Symposium Africa (PSA), held from 19th to 21st November 2024 in Harare, Zimbabwe, convened a dynamic community of thought leaders, policymakers, technologists, and privacy advocates. Under the theme “Bridging Policy, Technology, and Societal Dynamics,” the symposium provided a pivotal platform to explore the multifaceted dimensions of data protection and privacy in Africa.
